Driver Education Requirements in Massachusetts

According to Massachusetts Law, applicants under the age of 18 seeking a Massachusetts driver’s license must complete the driver education program and apply for a driver education certificate.

Our Program Components

Our comprehensive driver education program includes three essential components:

  • Classroom Portion (30 hours) – $350
  • Behind-the-Wheel Training (12 hours driving/6 hours observation) – $650
  • Parent Class (2-hour program for parents)
  • Road Test Sponsorship fee – $145

Cost

  1. $50 dollar discount if paid in one installment ($950)
  2. First payment due date of first class ($350)
  3. $350 (classroom)
  4. $650 (includes 12 hrs driving, 6 hrs observation)
  5. Sponsorship fee paid after Road test is scheduled

November Driver’s Education Weekend Course

  • Dates: November 15-16th, November 22-23rd and November 29th (Parent Class)
  • Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm

Parent Class (Required by Massachusetts RMV)

  • Date Saturday, November 29th
  • Time: 10:00am – 12:00pm
  • Location: In-person, 330 Lynnway Unti #350 Lynn, MA 01902
  • Attendance by a parent or legal guardian is required for completion of the Driver’s Education Course.

Overview: Covering traffic laws, defensive driving, vehicle handling, and more.

Instructors: Experienced, certified instructors ensure your confidence on the road.

Cost: $1000 per session, payable in two installments:

  1. $350 (classroom)
  2. $650 (includes 12 hrs driving, 6 hrs observation)

Register today, space is limited to 20 students per session.

  • Attendance is required for all 4 classes
  • Lunch break provided each day
  • Parent class available for students under 18
  • Certificate issued upon completion of Driver’s Education Course

  • Parents who took parent class in the last 5 years do not need to attend November parent class (Proof required)
